Partner Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 7, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Caxi Partner Network. These Terms & Conditions outline your responsibilities and the agreements you accept by using the Caxi Partner app and platform to offer transport services.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid commercial driving license issued by the competent authority under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 to register as a Caxi Partner. By accessing or using the Caxi Partner App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old, legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and possess all required legal permits to operate a commercial transport vehicle.

3. Driver Code of Conduct

As a Caxi Partner, you agree to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and safety. This includes:

  • Following all local traffic rules and speed limits.
  • Treating all passengers with respect, courtesy, and without discrimination.
  • Ensuring no smoking is permitted inside the vehicle at any time.
  • Refraining from using your phone while driving, except for hands-free navigation.
  • Keeping your vehicle clean, sanitized, and in good operating condition.

4. Safety Standards

Passenger and driver safety is our top priority. You agree to undergo routine background checks, maintain a valid commercial driving license, and ensure your vehicle meets all local regulatory and safety standards. Any critical safety violations will result in immediate account suspension.

5. Wait Time Compensation

You are required to wait for riders for free during a standard grace period (3 minutes for city trips) upon reaching the pickup location. For trips originating from or heading to hospitals and healthcare centers, an extended priority waiting grace of 7 minutes applies automatically. If the rider delays beyond the applicable grace period, a per-minute wait time fee will be applied automatically to the fare, ensuring you are fairly compensated for your waiting time. You are required to stay at the pickup location until the wait timer indicates otherwise.

6. Outstation and Rental Rides

By accepting Rental bookings, you agree to remain available for the rider for the duration of the hourly package. By accepting Outstation bookings, you agree to complete the interstate/outstation trip (including round trips if specified). You must ensure your vehicle carries all necessary permits for outstation travel. For Outstation and Rental trips, our system records 15-second GPS breadcrumbs to accurately compute kilometers covered, toll crossings, and ensure dispute-free overage accounting.

7. Payments, Commissions & Trip Integrity

In strict compliance with Section 13(1) of the Central Motor Vehicles Aggregator Guidelines, 2020, Caxi operates on a transparent commission structure capped at a maximum of 20%, guaranteeing that Driver Partners receive at least 80% of the pre-tax fare on every trip. Your earnings, bonuses, wait time fees, and specific commission rates are displayed directly in your partner dashboard. Payouts are transferred securely to your registered bank account according to the standard payment cycle.

Dual-Collection Data Synchronization: Driver partner wallet balances, KYC approval statuses, ratings, and push notification tokens are synchronized across dual database registries to protect account records and prevent disbursement discrepancies.

Cash & Partial Payments: For any rides requiring cash collection, including those partially paid online or via wallet, partners must use the in-app Cash Collection interface (which includes a QR code option). Tapping to confirm payment collection within the app serves as your official agreement that the exact due amount was collected.

Active Trip Lock: Once a passenger's OTP is verified and the journey commences (In Progress), trip cancellation is officially locked in both the Partner and Customer applications to protect trip earning records and passenger safety.

Aborted Trips & Zero-Distance Protection: Starting a trip with OTP verification and immediately sliding "Complete Trip" without covering significant distance (< 200 meters traveled from the pickup coordinates) triggers automated anti-fraud checks. The collectible trip fare, partner payout, and platform commission are automatically adjusted to ₹0.00. Repeated instances of attempting to complete zero-distance trips will result in security audits and potential account deactivation.

Upfront Fare Guarantee & Pro-Rata Payouts: Fixed upfront fares apply when a trip is fulfilled near its intended drop-off destination. To protect both riders and partners from unexpected fare fluctuations due to minor route deviations, the original estimated fare is locked and guaranteed as long as the actual distance traveled is within a ±20% margin of the estimated route. However, if a journey is completed significantly short of the intended destination (actual distance < 80% of estimated route) due to emergencies, vehicle issues, or customer requests, your earnings and platform commission are recalculated dynamically on a pro-rata basis based on actual GPS tracking and distance covered, protected by minimum base fare guarantees.

8. Cancellation Policy for Partners

If you cancel a ride after accepting it and holding it for more than 2 minutes, a vehicle-specific inconvenience fee will be deducted from your Caxi Wallet. This fee compensates for the delay caused to the passenger. Cancellations within the first 2 minutes of acceptance are free.

10. Prohibition of Illegal Transport & Right of Refusal

As a Caxi Partner, you are strictly prohibited from knowingly transporting or facilitating the movement of illegal contraband, narcotics, unauthorized weapons, stolen property, illicit liquor, hazardous materials, or any other items banned under applicable state and central laws. Driver partners have the absolute right to question, inspect (externally), or refuse to pick up or transport any passenger or package that they suspect involves unlawful activity or prohibited items, without facing any penalty, cancellation fee, or account action from Caxi.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Caxi, its founders, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, fines, penalties, and legal expenses arising out of or related to: (a) your violation of any applicable law, statute, rule, or regulation; (b) your breach of these Terms & Conditions; or (c) your knowingly or negligently transporting illegal goods or engaging in unlawful or criminal activity on the platform.
